A year ago a few of us had the pleasure of hearing John O’Leary speak at a Vistage session.
He has an amazing story of resilience, faith and overcoming adversity after being burned with a one percent chance of surviving.
His recent blog post, “What If More, Isn’t More” alludes that it’s okay to say, “No” to ensure quality over quantity.
Last month, Maker’s Mark announced they were going to water down their whiskey to meet high demand for their product. O’Leary believes many of us similarly water down our lives by spreading ourselves too thin. He believes life is not about being all things to all people, but about how we impact those around us. “Don’t add water,” O’Leary suggests. “Sometimes in producing less we become more.”
